Sometimes we don’t have a lot of time on our hands to create gourmet meals. This sausage Tagliatelle recipe is a quick, simple, surefire way to comfort food without stress. I’ve used goat’s cheese to top it because the tangy taste works well with the sweetness of the sauce but you can use parmesan if you prefer.
Ingredients
250g of Tagliatelle
1 x Pack of 2 Smoked Turkey Sausages chopped into 1-2cm cubes
Jar of Bolognese sauce
Small handful of fresh Basil
Log of sharp soft Goats Cheese
Water for boiling
Pinch of salt
Method
Boil salted water in a large saucepan. Add the tagliatelle to the boiling water and cook following the instructions on the packet (normally 8-10 mins).
Whilst the pasta is cooking, add the pasta sauce to a large frying pan on a medium to low heat. Add the chopped sausages and gently warm through until the sauce is simmering. Leave to simmer while the pasta cooks.
When the pasta is cooked take a cup of the water out of the pan and put to one side. Drain the rest of the water away and add the pasta to the sauce in the frying pan and carefully stir through to coat the pasta. If the sauce seems too thick, add some of the pasta water until the consistency is to your liking.
Serve the pasta into a large dish. Tear the basil and place on the top with the slices (or crumbles) of goats cheese. Enjoy!
