Some of the main industries helping to make money in Pyongyang include machine building, and the mining of limestone, zinc, lead, copper, iron ore, and precious metals. The state is also heavily invested in agriculture, food processing, textiles, and the production of military supplies.

Can you travel through Pyongyang on your own?

Right now, North Korean law dictates that you must travel everywhere beyond your hotel with a guide - if not, you are punished under national law.
