The former President of the United States of America certainly hasn’t avoided tabloid conjecture, yet, he has managed to gain a significant following over his Presidency – and even after the events of the 2020 election. 1. Where did it all begin for The Donald?

Let’s start at the beginning! Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York City, United States. He is known for being a very proud New Yorker.

2. He’s a businessman first and foremost.

Before entering politics, Trump was primarily known as a real estate developer and businessman. He gained fame in the 2010s, too, as the host of the reality TV show “The Apprentice” – where he “fired” and “hired” candidates for his businesses.

3. He went and won the top job!

Donald Trump announced his candidacy for the presidency of the United States as a Republican in June 2015. He then won the Republican nomination, and went on to become the 45th President of the United States, serving from January 20, 2017, to January 20, 2021.

4. What was Trump’s key policies?

Donald Trump’s often controversial political agenda focused on several key projects. These included immigration reform, tax cuts, deregulation, and trade policies aimed at protecting American industries. One of the key facets of his Presidency was the promise that there’d be a border wall built between the US and Mexico, and that the latter “would pay for it.”

5. Trump’s executive orders raised eyebrows.

What many people focus on from Trump’s Presidency is his series of executive orders. These included a travel ban targeting several predominantly Muslim countries, and a policy of separating families at the US-Mexico border.

It wasn’t just the Mexico border wall that stood to separate people. Donald Trump’s presidency was marked by a turbulent and polarizing political climate.
