Tutankhamun’s tomb was opened.
In 1922, English archaeologist Howard Carter opened Tutankhamun’s tomb for the first time in Egypt. The tomb was nearly perfectly intact when it was found – meaning the ancient Egyptians clearly knew how to embalm and protect for the best!
