Copyright laws have been the bane of many a court dispute over the decades, and in the US, this legislation goes all the way back to May 31st, 1790. It’s on this date that the US courts first enshrined laws pertaining to copyright, meaning individual creators and rights holders could effectively protect their intellectual properties.
The world met Sirius Black for the first time.
Back in 2004, “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” was finally released on the silver screen! The third installation of the Harry Potter series became a huge hit and remains a favorite among fans to this day! The film starred Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Gary Oldman, and a fairly all-star cast. It made huge stars out of the “main three” characters, too.
The El Reno tornado caused devastation.
The El Reno tornado in Oklahoma ended up killing three people in 2013 - including Tim Samara, who became the first tornado chaser ever to be killed by a tornado. It’s by far a safe pastime - meaning it’s much safer to watch wild weather from a distance!
