Helen Keller defied all odds.
On this date back in 1887, deafblind icon Helen Keller began her education. Her teacher, Anne Sullivan, started teaching Helen Keller when she was just six years old. She was also blind and deaf!
George Dewey made history in the Navy.
In 1899, George Dewey became a Navy Admiral. He was the first person ever in the US to hold this rank!
Elvis Presley made his TV debut
World-famous singer and King of Rock n’ Roll Elvis Presley made his TV debut on this day back in 1955. He appeared on a broadcast of the then-radio show Louisiana Hayride. He went on to feature on television a lot more, even performing concerts that are still referenced to this day, as he did on The Ed Sullivan show!
A resurrected classic was born.
Fans of Stranger Things and Metallica will know that on this day in 1986, the latter made a huge splash. They released their third studio album, “Master of Puppets”. The album featured the titular song that was featured on the Netflix show “Stranger Things” in 2022 - leading to a big resurgence in the charts.
50 Cent released The Massacre.
Speaking of albums, March 3rd was also a big date for 50 Cent! Back in 2005, it was the day he released his Grammy Award-nominated album, The Massacre.
