On this date back in 1876, inventor Alexander Graham Bell made a pretty important phone call! In fact, it was the first phone call ever! He called to his associate, Thomas Watson, and famously said, “Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you.”

Speaking of famous inventors, March 10th was also an important date for Thomas Edison! Back in 1902, the United States court of appeals ruled that Thomas Edison did not, in fact, invent the movie camera. Sorry Tom - better luck next time.

Ever been lucky enough to bowl a perfect game? William Knox of Toledo, Ohio was - he was the very first player in the American Bowling Congress to score a perfect 300 - by managing a strike on every single frame. It’s not as easy as it looks, but Knox managed it on March 10th, 1913.

In a landmark lawsuit, the estate of Marvin Gaye successfully sued Pharrell Williams, T.I. and Robin Thicke for copyright infringement - as the song “Blurred Lines” bears more than a few similarities to Gaye’s song “Got to Give It Up.” Gaye’s family won a remarkable $7.3 million in the claim.
