The Battle of Otumba took place.
In 1520, the Battle of Otumba in Mexico took place. Hernán Cortés and the Tlaxcalans emerged victorious over the Aztec force, taking control for the Spanish. It’s a fascinating period in both Spanish and Mexican histories.
We met 007 for the 10th time!
In 1977, the 10th James Bond film was released! “The Spy Who Loved Me” starred Roger Moore and Barbara Bach, and it premiered in London.
The 7/7 bombings took place.
In 2005, today was the date that a coordinated terrorist bomb exploded in London’s public transport system. The explosion took place during the morning rush hour, injuring 700 people and killing 52.
We went to Hogwarts for the last time.
In 2011, the final Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, premiered in London. The film was hugely successful and left fans pleased with how the film saga had ended! That said, there’s always plenty of stories left in the Wizarding World…
