Newton made history.
In 1687, Isaac Newton’s work Principia was finally published by the Royal Society in England! The work outlined his laws of motion and universal gravitation. We heard even after this, he was still a pretty “down to Earth” guy…
Venezuela made a big statement.
In 1811, the Venezuelan Declaration of Independence took a huge step forward. No less than seven provinces declared themselves independent of Spain. It was a huge step forward for the country!
Frederick Douglass made an important speech.
In 1852, fugitive slave Frederick Douglass made a speech to the Ladies’ Anti-Slavery Society in Rochester. The speech became known as his “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” Speech, and in it, he condemned the Independence Day holiday as a hypocritical sham.
Amazon.com started up.
Can you imagine a world without Amazon? While the all-encompassing media and online store giant, helmed by Jeff Bezos, is pretty unavoidable these days, it had humble beginnings as a web bookseller, based in Bellevue, Washington, starting up on July 5th, 1994. They said it would never last…
Indonesia held its first presidential election by the people!
In 2004, the first round of the first-ever Indonesian Presidential election (decided by the people) took place! Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono would eventually win the vote.

Graham crackers are snackable treats that are endlessly versatile. With tea, as the base of cheesecakes, or simply on their own for a nice nibble, they are generally staples in all of our homes.
