On February 3rd 1917, America made its entry into World War I. This was prompted following the dissolution of diplomatic relations between America and Germany due to their unrestricted submarine warfare. The war finally ended in 1918.
Twin Peaks Tunnel finally opened!
The Twin Peaks Tunnel, based over in San Francisco finally began service on February 3rd 1918! It quickly became the longest streetcar tunnel on record, measuring a whopping 11,920 feet long!
